Those are all phones. By your logic, you prove my point. By your logic there are 10 different iOS devices , are you saying that THEY -"are not the same thing or related in any relative way" ?
PS : I love my iPhone but it is not my leader. Apple is cool but I don't jump up and down for any and every Pro- Apple story I can drink down. This chart is BS...IMHO
You are creating an artificial distinction between the products. It doesn't matter to a potential developer because they know if they release to iOS, it's going to go on ALL iOS products but maybe not all ALL android products. Certainly not to a tablet. This is what the article is focusing on. You are very narrowly looking at one data point. If HTC can only sell only a few units of an Android phone, then they may drop the platform and look somewhere else for a better os. (Not saying HTC is in that boat. I've been using it for a few months. While it does exactly what I need it to do, it does lag often and I also suspect that it crashes my iPhone. I end up having to reboot.

We did Christmas today, (Christmas eve) Because I work tomorrow morning. I got a bunch of clothes and a water bottle, and a Starbucks card. And candy.
I make my Christmas by buying some stuff for myself. I bought a L desk and a new deskchair. and an Airsoft gun I got onsale at Big5. Just to shoot my siblings and there friends. You know. ;)

Yeah, I saw this earlier, hopefully this means a stable release will be coming soon. There's actually some stuff in 4.3 I'd like, so it'd be nice to not have to wait 2 or 3 months.
I'm not complaining though, I'll be patient. I'm not doing the work so I won't whine about something I'm getting for free.

I have the Cuisinart Ice Cream maker and it's ok. The kitchenaid will be much better, just turn your freezer temp as low as it will go and leave the churn in there for about a day, I usually do for at least 24 hours. The Cuisinart only works on one speed so when the mixture starts to really firm up you can't whip it harder to incorporate air. Besides, why have something that only does one thing? ;) A kitchenaid will last literally forever, you'll have to put it in your will.

Think this through, MacRumors, think this through.
Perhaps MacRumours could encourage its "disenfranchised" members to show up for donations, and protest being prevented from donating. If the Red Cross workers in the field get a sense for the numbers of potential donors that are being turned away, maybe that will trickle up to the policy makers.
During the height of the AIDS crisis the motto "Silence=Death" was used by some of the protestors. Anytime it's "Silence=<NoEqualRights>", those disenfranchised and their supporters should make noise. Silence supports the status quo - speak up for change when the status quo is discriminatory.
The Red Cross policy is wrong, and not scientifically or socially defensible.

While I welcome these bug fixes, do I really have to endure 600+ megabyte downloads just to have them installed? :rolleyes: That's what I went through with my 4G iPod touch and iPad 2 when iOS 4.3.1 came out.
I really hope that the upcoming iOS 5.0 will allow for incremental upgrades so you don't have to do such big downloads anymore in the future.

Making parts is one thing, we can all make parts, we can all go into our garage and make a random widget. We can make hundreds of those widgets.
But - here is the kicker -
We need someone to buy those widgets.
If no one buys the widgets, we can't make the widgets, and in this scenario Apple sell the widget to the end user. The game is with Apple, not the parts supplier.
Good luck making the parts Apple need in your garage.
